Abstract       The philosophies of Parmenides, Socrates, Aristotle, the science of Einstein is discussed with respect to a division of the empirical and abstracted as they refer to the universe and universals. Methodologies of the natural and anthropological sciences are contrasted  in order to discuss validity in the representation of nature.
