Description
Takes a KEGG gene identifier, e.g. sce:YAL038W (yeast pyruvate kinase) and converts to the corresponding Swissprot identifier.

Good idea on all the immediate steps. There is also a biomoby service called "convertKeggGeneId2ProtId" that can do the same thing without all the grunt work of having to parse the data.
