Now, senior scientist, I have been sticking to the bench from 1989 until 2007 as a bio-[techno]-logist. I moved to Belgium as a young PostDoc ('93) in a lab which later became part of VIB. I stayed at VIB (in 2 different Departments / 4 different groups) since then. I finally left the bench (the glue was not strong anymore :-) ) and joined BITS as data-miner in Sept 2007 to promote biocomputing among my fellow scientists.

I am really enjoying the challenge. (lots to do and so much to discover)
