My main research interest is bacterial genomics and evolution. We've been quite active in the field of comparative genomics and a main research focus for our lab is the development of advanced methods for molecular typing based on comparative genomics and in applying these to the studying the epidemiology of foodborne pathogens such as Campylobacter jejuni, E. coli, Salmonella, etc.
