I am a bioinformatician working in the field of biosemantics. In August 2006 I started as a PhD student on a collaborative project between the department of Health Risk Analysis & Toxicology at Maastricht University and the department of Medical Informatics at Erasmus MC. The title of my project is "Bioinformatics of Toxicogenomics". By combining text mining with statistical analysis I aim to develop class prediction tools for toxicological classification of new compounds and to advance the knowledge about pathways involved in toxic responses.
